CCF’s 2019 AGM and talk by Dr Adam Read: ‘The Circular Economy – solutions to overconsumption and the climate crisis’

Dr Read is the Junior Vice President of the Chartered Institute for Waste Management and a Chartered Environmentalist who has been working closely with DEFRA in his role as External Affairs Director at SUEZ. His talk ‘The Circular Economy – solutions to overconsumption and the climate crisis’ will explore real world examples of how public pressure, legislation and innovation in both science and business can help shift us towards a resource efficient economy with lower emissions. Dr Read’s talk in the City earlier in the year saw delegates at a meeting of the Climate Leaders Forum queuing up to invite him back to hear more.

Addressing the climate crisis has never been more urgent than it is now so we’d love you to join us for our AGM. We’ll share the successes and challenges of operating in a very different landscape and seek your input into priorities for the future. Last year our volunteers and partners supported us in hosting Cambridge’s first Sustainable Fashion Festival, a very popular Open Eco Homes season, the liveliest Repair Café hub in the UK plus thirty additional sustainability events.

Dr Read’s talk and Q&A will follow the brief formal AGM and there will be time to mingle with hosts and fellow guests. All are welcome, please join us.
