This is an evening for existing Repair Cafe repairers and those who are interested in becoming repairers. Repair Cafes have been hugely successful and popular and we are keen to encourage a strong contingent of repairers that can support the growing interest, see the latest piece in the Cambridge News.
The evening will include:
- An introduction to some of the equipment at the Maker Space such as the 3D printers
- An opportunity to share favourite diagnostic and repair techniqies with others
- An introduction the toolkits supplied to local Repair Cafes by Mackays and Drapers Tools and a discusssion on safety
All are welcome who have an interest and some experience. There’s no obligation to become and repairer, just join us for the evening and find out more. Booking is essential as places are limited. Email cambridgeskillshare@gmail.com to book yourself in. We hope you might join us for a trip to the pub after the skillshare ends.
This free event is organised by Cambridge Carbon Footprint, Transition Cambridge, South Cambs District Council and the Cottenham Repair Cafe – all part of the Cambridgeshire Repair Cafe Network.
(The emphasis of the evening is on the more technical and electronic/electrical aspects of repairs rather than sewing, bike and cycle repairs.)
