The Cambridge Repair Café at the Circular Cambridge Festival

The Cambridge Repair Cafe, co-organised by CCF and Transition Cambridge is delighted to be taking part in the Circular Cambridge Festival. The Festival aims to help us imagine a different future – one with minimal waste, maximum resource efficiency and little pollution. As well as going to the Repair Cafe you’ll also be able to enjoy a talk by Friends of the Earth’s CEO, Craig Bennett and other inspiring speakers, an environmental film festival (organised by Pivotal) a big swish (clothes swap), performance, reflective sessions, information stalls, art pieces and the chance to learn about and get involved in a huge number of dynamic and active local groups and people.

Repair Cafes match experienced repairers with people who need stuff fixing.

Bring along the following to be repaired (and maybe pick up some repair skills whilst you are there!) : small household appliances and electrical items, computers, mobile phones, bicycles, clothes (clean clothes only please) and general bits and bobs. You can turn up with your item on the day, but it is best to email us to book your item in so the repairers have an idea of what to expect. The repairers can fix most things but there are no guarantees.

This is a free event. However, donations to cover costs are welcome.
