I am a constant and compulsive maker, with my main focus being textiles. I am intrigued by transformation through process, whether that is through repurposing items or transforming through manipulation, e.g. cutting, stitching etc.

One of the greatest challenges to humanity is global warming, if we can individually reduce our carbon footprint we can begin to address this issue. Using decorative art as a focal point CirculART is bringing the issue to the attention of the public and so promoting buying less and wasting less.

Description of Abigail’s artwork appearing in CirculART
‘Forever in blue jeans’ – Layered, bleached and overstitched recycled denim wall hanging inspired by Japanese Boro work.

Why Abigail chooses to use repurposed materials
I am interested in the transformation from garment to art through the re-use and repurpose of materials.
