Jane has also been commissioned throughout the UK.

Jane’s exhibiting works consist of mixed media, futuristic, illuminating sculptures, where recycled computer and electronic components are assimilated. She uses recycled electronic components which have been thrown away, adding to landfill.

Jane is interested in the ways in which technology is abused by society today. We use tools such as computers and the internet which extend our visual memories and other powers beyond what our human bodies are capable of. Technology was initially a time saving device and memory aid, however we now appear to be co-dependent on them. What impact will this have on our memories and health?

Description of Jane’s artwork appearing in CirculART
‘Humanoid’ is a full size man made from recycled electronics. He illuminates and has an electronic screen showing images and facts of electronic waste.

Why Jane chooses to use repurposed materials
To enlighten people on the damage we are causing to our world and health with how much we purchase and throw away electronics and other waste.
