Summary: This bookshop has a wide range of stock and is entirely run by unpaid volunteers. It diverts over a metric tonne of books from potential landfill each month. Books which have not sold in the shop or are too damaged are sold on in bulk to the wholesaler "World of Books" for recycling or sale online.  All profit from the shop goes back into the community to support the local RSPCA branch's animal clinic for pet-owners on low-income benefits, and the clinic itself provides hands-on training for Cambridge University's vet students.
