I am an artist and an activist.  My work is strongly research based, using a variety of media to investigate a social, political or environmental issue of concern to me.  I use ethical materials and incorporate found, collected and recycled items in my work. I often employ multiples, to create a more detailed discussion of a theme. I have a strong sense of place and frequently exhibit work in less conventional spaces that are more accessible to a wider audience, for example warehouses, pubs, community centres and now a charity shop. I am very keen on working collaboratively and being active in my local community and often work on projects with groups of artist who might not otherwise have opportunities to access resources.

Upcycled ceramic whimsies and other discarded items referencing the home, create a discussion about housing, poverty, inequality and homelessness in the UK and globally.

I think that repurposed materials are intrinsically creative and more ethical, avoiding the over-consumption of new materials which is furthering the destruction of our planet.
