Friends of Girton Glebe Repair Cafe
The Friends of Girton Glebe Primary School host a repair café once a year at our Tree Shredding Event after Christmas.
The Friends of Girton Glebe (FOGG) is a registered charity run by a dynamic and dedicated group of parents and school representatives. FOGG’s purpose is to support our school. We do this throughout the year with regular fundraising activities and events. All funds raised go towards the learning and wellbeing of the children at Girton Glebe Primary School.
Our Tree Shred is a lovely community event which brings together volunteers from local businesses, organisations and the local community to regenerate old/used resources and give them a new lease of life.
At this event we partner with Sustainable Girton to host a pop-up repair café where volunteers have repaired items including clothes, computer equipment and bikes.
Other activities include:
- Tree Shredding by Acacia Tree Surgery
- Bin cleaning by Wheelie Fresh Bins
- Children’s crafts in partnership with Smartkidz
- Refreshments (including tea, cake and soup) provided by Girton Allotment Society and FOGG
