My company Buttons + was hatched the day grandma’s tin of vintage buttons was inherited by me. I remembered being given them to play with as a child. Some of my favourites then are still favourites today. How satisfying to explore nuances of colour by putting different shades side by side. Eventually it led to stringing subtle or vibrant colours together to create necklaces.
Each necklace I create is unique. Besides a riot of colour there are several styles to choose from – there are clusters on adjustable lengths of chain and a variety of stringing techniques all created considering style, strength and comfort. Have you a colour scheme of your own in mind? I probably have the right size and colour of button no matter how whimsical.
